We collect the following information to provide and improve the Service:
- Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
- Profile information: phone number, city, state, ZIP code (optional)
- Recipe content: titles, ingredients, instructions, photos, and personal stories you upload
- Beneficiary information: names, emails, and phone numbers of designated beneficiaries
- Usage data: storage consumption, recipe count, login activity
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the Service, including:
- Storing and displaying your recipes
- Managing your account and authentication
- Communicating with you about your account and the Service
- Processing payments (via Stripe)
- Facilitating the beneficiary inheritance process
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your content for advertising.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (powered by AWS infrastructure). All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Row-level security policies ensure that users can only access their own data.
4. Your Recipes Are Private
Your recipes are private by default. They are never indexed by search engines or shared with other users unless you explicitly use the Share feature to generate a shareable link. Shared links can be revoked at any time from the recipe page.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage
- Stripe: payment processing (we do not store payment card details)
- Vercel: application hosting
- Resend: transactional email delivery
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data handling practices.
6. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also delete your account from the Account settings page, which will remove your data from our systems within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
